Look to the Left

Yesterday at Trader Joe's they were selling ten daffodils for $1.29. How could I not bring some home! I bought two bunches. The buds were tightly closed yesterday. Today they have started to open up. It was fun to paint them. I was was trying to be a little more loose with my brush strokes, at the same time trying not to go over each stroke. I'll try again tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how they look in the morning! Stay tuned for more!

Hi Nancy, nice to meet you on the blogs! Saw your comments on my blog, thanks so much so inspiring to see what others think! The global reach of art blogs is amazing! The simplicity of your strong composition here is striking. Love it. Dramatic dark background with hints of red underlayer make the blocks of yellow daffs pop out. Great work! Love your art. I am also entering a time of life that I can devote to art as I have wanted all along.
