This is a drypoint monoprint that I did about 4 years ago, before I started painting the small paintings. Several very similar monoprints were made using the same plate. Each one is slightly different. I have one hanging in our living room, and one was hanging in the Lafayette Gallery. The one in the gallery was sold this this week. This made me think about much I enjoy printmaking. It is a challenge for me to stay focused, there are so many wonderful ways to make art. It is important not to spread yourself too thin. Painting is exciting and fun , but so is printmaking!! So much to do, so little time!
Nancy, I love this print. It has so much depth. It looked like it was fun and spontaneous too.
ReplyDeleteNancy this is so cool, congrats on your sale. So many choices
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! No wonder you love print making - I know several artists who work in print making and I am very intrigued. Enjoy all your art adventures. There are no rules or obligations - just keep exploring and enjoying!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on selling your print. It does look like fun.
ReplyDeleteYes. So much to do! I would have a career in thirty different mediums if I had thirty different lives. Really, I'm having trouble seeing this as a positive...it is often my downfall. I love the print. Nice to "meet" you - I'm a fellow fishie!
ReplyDeleteHello to a fellow fishie! Just checking in with my bowlmates!
