Out of the Comfort Zone

This was done from a photo taken from the passenger side of the car, while driving somewhere between here, and Lake Tahoe. I enjoyed painting something "out of the comfort zone", and am excited to try some more of these drive by landscapes. Goodness knows, I have a whole stack of photos, taken from the car, just waiting!

Oh, I just LOVE it! How you simplified the landscape - and the colors are so decisive! You are such a thoughtful painter, Nancy. Yes, do more of these!

Love the soft subtle colors and the angular feel. Aren't car trips wonderful. I love taking pics from the passenger window. So many beautiful sights. Living life with artists eyes is very special.

This is so cool. I love how abstract it is. The hills are my favorite.

Oh my!!
I love it. Fresh brushwork and the all important color harmony. Greens and purples. Wicked as we say here ;)
