This past weekend, I was lucky to be part of a painting workshop, taught by
Tim Horn. The two day workshop focused on creating light and dark value patterns in your paintings. This is Tim Horn's strength. As you can see from his demo photos, he is very talented. I learned a lot in this short two day class. Two paintings were almost completed. They need a little more work, and will be posted soon!

OH! I. Am. So. JEALOUS! He's on my 'bucket list'! I can't wait to see what you did in his class! Lucky you!
Sounds like an great topic for a workshop. I can't wait to hear what you learned and see you next post.
I hope you can share your insights.
Oh so nice to see you are taking more workshops. We had ours a year ago this week I think. Tim Horn looks very talented. Was this in SFO area or Santa Fe? Can't wait to see you latest. I started a new job at Dell last week so painting time is hard to find. Just don't feel like it at 8pm. Maybe tomorrow night.
This workshop sounds so great. I love his trailers. The reflections on them are incredible. Look forward to your new work.
Oh Nancy, How lucky you are to have had that opportunity. I think he's fabulous!
Tell us all about it!
I love Tim! I had a workshop with him in Atlanta last fall and he is not only a wonderful artist but a fun person too! Your work is great and I am glad you enjoyed his workshop.
I loved seeing these paintings progress... thank you for posting that, Nancy... can't wait to see your paintings. when his instruction meets your talent...

Sounds like you would recommend taking Tim's workshop? What colors did you use. Love the post :0)
