This painting is of the backside of the
Pine Inn, in Carmel, CA. The photo is of the side entrance of the hotel. The Pine Inn is the oldest hotel in Carmel, built in 1889. It is full of history, right in the center of town, and just a few blocks from the ocean. We have been coming to Carmel for many years, and always stay here. It is beautiful on the inside, with lots of historic photos of the early days of Carmel. If you are planning a visit to Carmel, make sure to visit the historic Pine Inn!

Oh, you make me want to go there now! Nice job on the architecture - solid and strong! You have such an interesting life - like the Dr. Seuss book "Oh, the places you go!"
Nice and loose and I like the perspective, Nancy.
Carmel is on my list! One of my trips out there I hope to include it! See you next week!
What a beautiful hotel and love your moody and striking depiction! Wish I could be there now. Still in the triple digits here. We love Carmel.
I always love your take on things. Neat colors you chose for this one. I'm with Kelley I want to go there now too.
